The House follows a strict Faufreluches policy, holding the importance of relations and blood highly. They are careful to know their lineage and mindful of other's. The highest position within the Household is given to those who have Rastanyev blood within their line.

The Siridar-Earl is to be treated with the utmost respect. Common servants, and the majority of House retainers should never refer to him by first name. It is acceptable to address the Earl as; My Lord Earl, Your Excellency, Your Grace, and on more formal ocassions, Noble-Born.

The Earl's wife may be refered to as my Lady, Countess, or Jarla. Keep in mind that though she may have no apparent political power, she has the ear of the Earl.

The children of the Earl may be refered to using my Lord or Lady, Young Master or Mistress. The only exception to this is the heir designate, who is refered to as Tsarevich or Tsarovna.

Instruction for interacting with specific Houses Major

House Atreides - Though they differ with us on many important political issues treat them fairly and with respect. Do not ventrue any information to them, report anything suspicious to the Mentat for analysis.

House Alvstad - Relations between the two houses have not always been the best. Currently they can best be described as neutral. Take care to treat them with respect and kindness, though do not venture any information to them either.

House Bajazet - The closest thing we have to an ally is to be found in house Bajazet. Treat them always with kindness, hospitality, and warmth.

House Corrino - Rastanyev has close relations with the Imperial House, treat ANY represenative of the Imperium with respect. Do not do anything that may endanger our relationship with the Lion Throne.

House Ginaz - We have not had particularly close relations with the Ginaz for quite some time. They are to be treated with the respect due a Great House, but little else.

House Harkonnen - Be very careful when interacting with members of this house. Their involvment in the Malarca crisis cannot be forgotten, who knows what planet they may choose to contest next? All conversation with a represenative of this house is to be reported to the Mentat for immediate analysis.

House Moritani - The Rastanyev have always been fairly close friends to House Moritani, though as of late, relations have been slipping. Do nothing to anger them, always treat them with proper respect and remember, ultimately, they control Arrakis and a CHOAM directorship. Do nothing to endanger our relations with them.

House Venhei - Be wary of these Venhei. Despite all outward appearances, they are not the original House Venhei. The have been outright rude to the Earl, and have always treated him as if it were he were of common ancestry. It can also not be forgotten that despite the change of hands the house has experienced, it was a Venhei ornithopter that killed an Emperor(we cannot assume that the competency of their factory workers has increased any, now can we?).
